As we head into the colder months, the energies of the season can make it easier for illnesses to spread (aka cold and flu season). Stress, not getting good quality or the right amount of sleep and poor nutrition can all lead to a weakened immune system. In this series, Alicia will guide students through slow and gentle movements specifically designed to boost immunity, increase mindfulness and reduce the stress hormone cortisol. Lower cortisol levels have been linked to less inflammation and deeper, more regulated sleep. As we head into the holiday season, take time for yourself and boost your body’s natural immune system with yoga!

This 6 week series will be accessible for beginners and will focus on poses that burn fat, build muscle and increase flexibility. You will also learn how yoga can improve overall health and the benefits of making yoga a habit.

YOGA FOR CLEANSING AND TOXIN RELEASE

Discover the ways yoga can help cleanse your body from the inside out. In this 4 week series, students will be guided through movement sequences and breathwork designed to release toxins from their tissues, leaving them feeling refreshed and renewed as we enter the spring season. As a bonus for taking part in this series, the instructor will provide a recording of a morning flow mini-class and recipes to balance the body during this transitional time of year.

YOGA FOR DIGESTIVE HEALTH

It's no secret that digestive health is critical to overall physical health and wellbeing. In this series, we will discuss various aspects of digestive health and how yoga can support a healthy metabolism. The instructor will guide students through postures and exercises designed to aid the digestive process. As a bonus for participating in this series, participants will receive a digestive health tracker for the month of April, recipes to kindle digestive fire and a body type (dosha) self-assessment quiz.

YOGA FOR YOUR HORMONES

Hormones affect every aspect of our health including our mood, energy, and even our weight. In this series, students will learn how yoga can honor the energy of their bodies throughout the month and throughout their lifetime. Instead of pushing through and striving to always operate at the same intensity, students will learn how their hormones can influence their energy, levels of creativity, appetite and even intuition. Our practice will include poses, sequences and breathwork to honor our body’s changes and improve overall wellbeing (think the ultimate “body hack”). Alicia will curate a movement and educational experience suitable to ALL women, regardless of age or life-stage.

POST NATAL YOGA
Available as a private series or as a group at your studio!
This 4-week series is designed for moms up to 1 year postpartum. Practices will include movement, breathwork and relaxation techniques to assist the body in recovering from childbirth as well as reduce the physical and mental stresses of caring for a new born. Alicia will guide students through poses designed to strength the pelvic floor, open the heart space (alleviating the neck and shoulder discomfort from holding and feeding your new baby), and provide a safe, community focused environment.
